Thanks to the Quick Post app, you can:

  • Instantly generate engaging text and image posts with ready-made eye-pleasing designs and layouts for digital signage.
  • Ensure concise and impactful messages by leveraging advanced AI technology to quickly summarize lengthy documents and text-heavy images.
  • Drive audience interaction and streamline content display by incorporating QR codes that provide easy access to additional information, a document file, or links.

Here’s how it works:

  1. Select and install the Quick Post app

1.1. Simply sign in to your current account, choose the Apps panel from the left-hand menu, and select “All Apps”

1.2. By searching “quick post” you’ll find the Quick Post app.

1.3. Click the app, and then hit the Get button to install the app in your account and to begin setting up your first instance.

2. Create your posts in the Quick Post app

2.1. As you open your Quick Post app, there are three tabs for creating and managing your posts in the app:

    • New Post
    • Manage Post
    • Settings

And from there, you have three different types of posts you can create:

    • Generate post from a URL
    • Generate post from a file
    • Create new post

Let’s learn about how each of the options works!

2.2. Generate post from a URL helps summarize a site or article with the help of AI. The summary is created from the first 10,000 words provided. Simply input your URL, click Generate content, and watch the magic happen.

2.3. Generate post from a file works in the same way, allowing you to summarize text from a PDF, JPG, or PNG file. The AI will generate a summary from the first 10,000 words available as well

When uploading a PDF, only a document of up to 10 pages is compatible. A larger document will result in an error. Once uploaded, you’ll have the ability to provide a QR code that allows the viewer to download the file with the final post.

2.4. “Create new post” will allow you to input lengthy text that you can also choose to summarize. You might use this option if you wish to summarize a link or article that is only available on your work network, as a link behind a login is not able to be accessed by the Quick Post’s AI. If you are worried that the content being summarized by the AI is being used for AI training, you’ll be glad to know that this is not the case, and that the information is not saved for AI data training.

2.5. Once you’ve generated a post from a document, image, or link – or written a post from scratch – you can share an image or QR code alongside your quick post. If you summarize a document, you can choose to display a QR that allows the viewer to download the document instead.

2.6. When you add and preview an image, make sure you select Upload so that it is applied to the post.

2.7. Don’t forget to customize the text to improve clarity and capture the viewer’s attention for the most vital information. For example, highlighted text can later be adjusted by the applied theme, where the secondary color of the theme is instead applied.

2.8. When your quick post is ready, click Create.

2.9. After this, your post will be created and viewable under Manage Posts.

2.10. Each created post will contain a timestamp, and you can Hide (Show), Edit, or Delete the post. Hiding a post will ensure that it does not show for the Quick Post app when it is set to a screen.

2.11. To also view the complete post in your app, simply click the downward arrow of a post.

2.12. Under the Settings tab, you have your display options:

    • Post visibility: Allows you to configure how long posts remain visible on screen. The maximum value is 365 days.
    • Resume playback from last post: When scheduled in a Playlist or Channel with other content, this instance will resume from the post immediately after the last post that was displayed.
    • Select post duration: How long an individual post will appear onscreen. Choose between slow, default, and fast, or insert your time in seconds by selecting manual.
    • Style packs: Change the look and feel of your messages. Applying a Style Pack to your app instance will update all messages created within the instance. Style Packs will also adopt a Channel’s theme.

2.13. With your quick post(s) now ready, go ahead and name your app and move ahead to the next step to see how your content appears on your screens and with the different style packs applied!

    3. Preview your Quick Posts

After you’ve finished creating your posts in your app, hit Preview to see what they look like on a screen. Below are a few samples of how a post will appear, depending on the content you’ve added and the style type you selected.

ii) A post with an image and text. (source: National Geographic)

iii) A post with text and a document QR code, set to the angled style pack. (source: umkc.edu)

iv) A URL summarized post with an image and a URL link

If you like what you see, make sure to click Save & Close after you’ve taken a look at your posts in the app Preview. You can then move on to applying a theme to the app or setting it to your screen.

    4. Apply a theme to your Quick Post app

If you wish to adjust the app’s color, you can use Channels and themes in Studio. To learn how to create a new theme and apply it to your channel.

In addition, the app is able to be set in a ticker tape or footer zone to only show its text content.

    5. Add the Quick Post app to your screen

Add your newly created Quick Post app to your screens by setting it in a playlist or a channel – Or directly onto your screen.

    6. Quick Post app limits and layout compatibility
